Every couple of months, I give myself a week off from client work to focus on my own business stuff and every time I do it I feel this massive shift of energy and I am full of inspiration.
Here are some of things I got up to during my week off in March:
- Added a bunch of templates to my Etsy Shop
- Updated the sales pages for Funnel Mapping Made Easy
- Write up a sales page for my new membership
- I implemented Credit in my business. I first created a ThriveCart Product for this in 2021 and I just left it there so I finally set it up properly and added it to my website. I have dubbed it Gem’s Gems. Check it out here.
- Scheduled an email to move all of my Quickstart Guide to Getting Ready to Build a Website people into Heartbeat. If that’s you, you should already have an email.
- Wrote up a bunch of emails for my VA to schedule, including one for this post.
- Created 11 small automations to make my life easier.
- Moved my affiliate assets into Heartbeat and let my affiliates know where they can find stuff.
- Created a new opt-in which I guess is not so new as I had already mapped it out ages ago and I just needed to finish it. Check it here.
- Revamped my Free Resources page.
- Worked on some Making it Bloom Bundle stuff – Testing and emailing contributors and preparing to invite them to our Bundle community in Heartbeat. (Still more to do but getting there!)
- Planned out some future tasks for my VA to crack into so that I never worry about passing work over to her and I can just easily delegate things.
- Planned out my free Off-Facebook Community for business owners and implemented some automations to make running it feel good so I can focus on supporting people inside the community. I’ll send you an invite when we are taking it live.
Looking back at this list feels like I did alot and I always kick myself after these weeks of non-client work thinking that I haven’t done enough but actually I have. I should definitely write these celebration lists more often.
When was the last time you scheduled in some time to focus only on your own business stuff? Even if you just schedule one day in, it will feel so so good.
I have another scheduled in for May except I’ll only be having one day for my own business stuff and the rest will be all about getting the Making it Bloom Bundle ready to go. Can’t wait! (btw… submissions close on Friday)
Anddd speaking of Bundles, make sure you check out the Courses We Love Bundle* by Sidney Eve. There are some amazing contributors and I am included amongst these stars which feels very cool 🤓
The 💕Courses We Love Bundle is a collection of paid resources designed to help digital course creators enhance the “emotional connection” people feel to your brand, and/or YOU feel to your biz.
The products inside this bundle are organised into these three categories:
💗 Trainings we love: Captivate your students so they use what they learn, and get what they came for!
💗 Tools we love: Discover the best tools for creating an engaging course, and learn how to use them effectively
💗 Little extras: Rekindle your passion for what you teach, so you can serve the students who love your work, and love the life you create in the process!
