Tech, Tools & Resources I love
These are all the tools, and businesses that I highly recommend. Some of these links are affiliate links, which means if you decide to sign up for a service, I may get a small commission. I only recommend businesses services that I have used myself in my own business or for a client.
I hope you find this helpful. I will add more to this as I discover new great tools and services (which feels like all the time!) Jump on my list for more insight into what I get up to in the world of nerdy business stuff.
Be sure to check out my affiliate bonuses also!
Email Marketing Tools
I’ve tried so many email marketing tools and finally settled on ConvertKit a fair few years ago then I started to use FloDesk for FAB which I loved so much that I ended up fully moving over to Flodesk – Check it out here and get 50% off.
Ontraport is also another email marketing tool that I love.
If you are just getting started with email marketing I highly recommend Mailerlite or Moosend.
Depending on your tech stack, do a bit of digging into what platfroms will work best for what you already use/need it to do. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
Course Platforms
Working as a Website Designer and Tech VA, I get to explore a lot of course platforms. The ones that always end up at the top of my list are Teachable, ThriveCart Learn+, Podia, MemberVault and more recently Heartbeat.
For my own courses, I use ThriveCart Learn+ for my biggest course and for smaller courses and FAB I use Heartbeat. I love both of these platfroms and they work so well for what I need.
Heratbeat was very easy to set up. I have a ThriveCart checkout set up which will add them to my list via a Zap then they get given details on how to join us in Heartbeat. Then they will recieve a squences of emails via Flodesk.
I can add my course content really quickly to both of these which is of course what we want.
Social Media Marketing Tools
I was using Social Pilot pretty much since they began and it was my absolute favourite tool to run all of my social media accounts from. It was especially helpful with #bigartboost so I could really keep on top of the community. I would still be with them if I hadn’t found Publer and Planable. I got both deals through AppSumo so I made the switch becauase, of course, it meant one less business expense with having the lifetime deal.
I also recommend Hootsuite and Planoly as a second choice to Social Pilot or Publer and Planable. Planoly is perfect if you are just getting started.
I love testing out new tools and I am currently exploring Sociamonials so, watch this space for an update on how it’s going.
Client Management – Contract & Invoicing Tools
Dubsado – It’s love. This makes my life so much easier and cuts out a shit ton of admin.
I used to spend way too much time onboarding and prepping monthly invoices, and now Dubsado does the lot. – It’s like having a team member who does all the things I’d rather not be doing so I can crack in with the good stuff.
If you use my affiliate link and drop me an email with the details, I’ll give you $30 to spend on templates.
17hats – Used to love it before I met Dubsado. A great option if Dubsado isn’t for you.
Checkout / Sales Platforms
ThriveCart – The highest converting cart for marketers. Create high converting cart pages, upsells & affiliate campaigns with ease. I use this with for a few of my clients and the integration and set up is fast, smooth and I just bloody love it. I also use ThriveCart for my planners, courses and templates and I am currently working on my affiliate program which is exciting as I have put this off for years.
If you decide to use my affiliate link, I’ll throw in $100 of credit to use towards of any of my courses and templates.
StudioCart – A plugin that allows you to offer one-time payments, instalment plan, subscriptions, coupons, order bumps and 1-click upsells right inside your WordPress website.
Watch my IG Reel for more insight and check it out in more detail here.
Project Management Tools
Asana – Honestly, this one is my favourite but I am always tinkering around with other new apps that I discover. I pay for the Pro version because I love the rules and dependencies features. They help me stay extremely organised. ClickUp is a great alternative. Trello is a great too but I don’t recommend this for teams – Use it for yourself or for very small projects.
Airtable – I love using Airtable in combination with another project management tool like Asana. It saves me so much time.
Check out my Asana and Airtable Templates here and get started with ease.
Website Hosting Services
As I am based in the UK, I wanted to move to a UK based company so I chose Guru Cloud Hosting which has been absolutely brilliant. – I’m very happy with my decision to move. If you are in the UK, I highly recommend them. They are so on the ball. 🥳
I have previously used Bluehost and InMotion Hosting which are both based in USA and were both great.
WordPress Themes
This website runs on the Divi Theme by Elegant Themes and it is the one I recommend the most. It is solid, always has new features, runs seamlessly and is highly customisable.
Use my affiliate link for Divi and I will give you a free theme of choice from my Divi Theme Shop. Hooray!
