A Letter in Mind Online Exhibition

Welcome to the online exhibition of The National Brain Appeal’s fundraising art event. The exhibition reveals artists’ visual responses to the title ‘A Letter in Mind’ using just a simple white envelope as the starting point. With submissions from established and emerging names in the worlds of art and design, illustration, graphic design and craft, the envelopes have been built in, drawn on, painted, written on, cooked, wired, collaged, sewn and had artworks sealed inside them!

There are works from Peter Abrahams, Jo Addison, Kit Boyd, Chris Haughton, Grayson Perry, Elisa Sighicelli, Natasha Kidd, Gill Rocca, Amin Taha and Frank Kiely amongst the 276 entries.

A Place for Creation has worked closely with The National Brain Appeal to present all the artworks from ‘A Letter in Mind’ exhibition online.

If you would like to buy one of ‘A Letter in Mind’ artworks, please note that buying opens on 2nd October at 11am. You can visit the exhibition and buy in person or you will be able to fill in a buying form online from 2nd October.  One of the team at The National Brain Appeal will then email you to confirm if the work is still available and to take payment. The price of each work is £80 and all proceeds will go directly to The National Brain Appeal. As all the works in the exhibition are being shown anonymously, the charity will let you know the name and details of the artist at the end of the exhibition.

We hope you enjoy viewing all the wonderful contributions that have been donated from the artistic community and that you are able to buy an original artwork to treasure for years to come.

WHEN: Thursday 2 October to Sunday 5 October 2014. 11-6pm. Admission free

WHERE: gallery@oxo, Oxo Tower Wharf, Bargehouse Street, South Bank, London, SE1 9PH. For directions visit www.oxotower.co.uk

The online exhibition was removed from aplaceforcreation.com when we closed the site out and moved over to this domain but you can still view the gallery here. You can also view the A Place for Creation archive here.
